If you're interested in leaving a legacy, Make-A-Wish® Vermont can help your generosity impact future generations. We have many options to help with your estate planning. Each year, Make-A-Wish Vermont reaches more children and grants more wishes. Your gift today would help make those wishes come true, both today and tomorrow.
For more information on planned giving, please contact our office at 802.864.9393.
To leave a gift to Make-A-Wish Vermont through your will:
- Designate a percentage of your total estate. This is especially useful if you are unsure of the exact value of your estate now or how much you will be able to leave to charity.
- Specify a contingent bequest, which is dependent upon another event, such as your spouse not surviving you.
Use our Gift Illustrator tool to help determine which planned gift will best meet your financial needs, while making a significant gift to support our future wish kids. (Use the sample bequest language below and please contact your tax advisor to discuss your specific circumstances.)
- Designate that a specific amount be given to charity. You can also specify that a certain item of value, such as an individual retirement account (IRA or an insurance policy) be given.
- Give whatever is left in your estate after loved ones have received their specific bequests. This is called a residuary bequest.
MAKE A BEQUEST:
Adding a bequest to your will or living trust can be as simple as adding a single sentence. Here's our preferred bequest language; take this to your attorney to use as a starting point. Contact us if you have any questions!
